5 Tips and Tricks for Candystand Newbies (That Even You, the Avid User, Might Not Know)
Tickets are like frequent flyer miles — it’s great to rack them up, but the whole point is to spend them on rewards. You can earn up to 30 tickets a day per game, and a total of 200 tickets per day, and redeem them for prize drawings (each prize has a different number of tickets required for entry and you are limited to 10 entries per prize per day).
Trophies are the real status symbols. You earn them for submitting high scores in trophy-enabled games (most games have them, just check the info box on each game page). You can earn either a bronze, silver or gold trophy for each game, depending on your high score. The My Trophy page on your profile will display the highest trophy you have for each game (ie, if you earned a Bronze one last week but did better today and got a Gold, the page will display just your Gold trophy).
Facebook Connect lets you see how your scores stack up against your friends’. Not only will you be able to see your friends’ high scores in each game (the leaderboard shows up right underneath the game play area), but you’ll also send notifications via Facebook to let them know you’ve trounced their scores (vice versa, too). You can either connect your existing Candystand account with your Facebook account OR simply sign up with your Facebook account.
Brand-new games launch almost every week. Games usually launch on Thursdays or Mondays, and we’ve been making an effort to post screenshots, videos and previews on our blog (as in, right here!) beforehand so you’ll have a sneak peek of what’s to come. New games are sometimes exclusives for Candystand (ones you’ll only be able to find on our site) and sometimes not (other flash game sites may also have them) — however, you’ll only be able to earn tickets and trophies when you play on Candystand!
We DO read your feedback!
