We here at Candystand have been cooking up a major update that just went live today. Simply put, the site now works with Facebook! What that means is that you can now connect your Facebook account with Candystand and seamlessly play and compete with all your Facebook friends. We’ve added a whole bunch of new features that adds a whole new level of fun and competition to your favorite games. Here is just some of what you can now do on Candystand with Facebook Connect:

• Once you connect your Candystand and Facebook accounts, logging into Candystand will be easier than ever. You will be logged in automatically or it it takes just one click.
• You can now see all your Facebook friends who are also on Candystand.
• Check out friend’s profiles and compare the games you play and high scores.
• See what trophies your friends have earned and compare your world rankings.
• Under every game you will immediately see which of your friends are playing that same game and who has the best score.
• Beat your friend’s high scores and they’ll know about it. YES!!
• Your Candystand Avatar can now use your Facebook profile picture.

OK, here’s the big disclaimer: You may experience some minor bugs as we smooth the kinks out for this massive integration. We don’t expect any of this to affect your games, or the speed of the site, so don’t worry about that. We’ve been testing this new feature, but now that it’s open to our millions of fans, we suspect we’ll need a little time to find and resolve any unexpected issues. If you find any weirdness or bugs , please trust that we are on it and it will be fixed as soon as possible. Think of this update as marrying Candystand with Facebook but they never really lived together before. There is an adjustment period and there may be some fighting

Double Edged is Candystand.com’s next exclusive title.  It’s an action packed side scroller set in the time of ancient Greece.  You are a Spartan warrior on an epic quest to hack down everyone that stands in your way.  The art style is cute and funny and the dialogue was silly enough to make me laugh out loud.  You fight enemies with melee weapons you pick up (and drop) along the way.  You also get to pick up objects to throw, which I found very satisfying.  My favorite feature of this game is the multiplayer.  You and a friend can play co-op on the same computer.  This can be a lot of fun and reminds of playing side scrollers at the arcade with my friends. 

Keep your eye open for it.  The game is set to launch within the next week or two. 

If you knock over those boars, or a chicken, you can pick them up and throw them at your enemies. I find that hilarious. I love the big helmets. Almost as big as their boddies.Check out King Midas. Everything he touches turns to gold.
