Our new Tickets system kicks in on Thursday, which means you only have two more days to enter our current prize drawings! This a quick reminder to use your tickets to enter drawings for the following prizes:

Next week we’ll be implementing a host of changes to our Tickets feature, which awards you tickets for submitting scores after you play games and lets you redeem them for chances to win prizes. You’ll find yourself racking up a ton of tickets as you play and submit scores, and you should make them work for you by entering prize giveaways (tickets are like frequent flyer miles, the whole point is to spend them on rewards!).

The BIG news is that we’re removing the limit on the number of tickets you can earn per day — now you can play any of our games to your heart’s content and earn unlimited tickets (in the current system, players are only able to earn up to 30 tickets per game a day, and only up to 200 tickets total a day). To encourage you to enter your tickets for prize entries, we’re also removing the limit on the number of tickets you can submit per day.

Here are all the ways you’ll be able to earn tickets when our new system goes live next week:

Submit any score after a game: 100 tickets
(Previously 10 tickets for any score, 15/20/30 for bronze/silver/gold-level scores. You will still be able to earn Trophies, but you’ll earn the same number of tickets every time you submit your score.)

Connect to Facebook: 25 tickets
Become a Facebook Fan: 25 tickets
Challenge a friend: 25 tickets
Post your score to Facebook: 25 tickets
(You can earn all four of these every time you submit a score)

In addition, all prizes will fall into one of four tiers: 10, 30, 50 or 100 tickets per entry, depending on how ‘big’ the prize is. This means that from now on, the highest number of tickets you’ll need to enter a drawing is 100, so you won’t need to save your tickets to enter a more expensive ‘better prize’ later on that would require more tickets.

The new Ticket system goes live later this week along with a redesigned homepage, so keep an eye out for it and let us know what you think!

In the spirit of the holidays, we’re giving away a bunch of Candystand merchandise from the official Candystand merchandise shop. From December 1 to December 15, we’re giving away one t-shirt a day to a lucky Candystand Facebook fan — what better way to celebrate a great year with your favorite online games? Here’s how you can enter for a chance to win!

1. Become a Facebook Fan
Join our Facebook Fan Page, where you can interact with other Candystand users and check our previews of our brand new games!

2. Answer our Daily Question
Go to our Facebook page and look for the Daily Question each day from December 1-15 (including weekends!). Leave a comment with your answer to enter.

Tip: Bookmark this page so you don’t forget to enter the contest every day. Set an alarm reminder too. Or stick a Post-it on your computer. Go ahead, we’ll wait.

3. We pick a winner every day!
At the end of the day, we’ll randomly pick a winner from eligible entries on the page and message them through Facebook with instructions on how they can claim their prize.

That’s it! The giveaway is happening right now — don’t miss your chance to nab some sweet Candystand shirts for the holidays, for free!

Tickets are like frequent flyer miles — it’s great to rack them up, but the whole point is to spend them on rewards. You can earn up to 30 tickets a day per game, and a total of 200 tickets per day, and redeem them for prize drawings (each prize has a different number of tickets required for entry and you are limited to 10 entries per prize per day).

Trophies are the real status symbols. You earn them for submitting high scores in trophy-enabled games (most games have them, just check the info box on each game page). You can earn either a bronze, silver or gold trophy for each game, depending on your high score. The My Trophy page on your profile will display the highest trophy you have for each game (ie, if you earned a Bronze one last week but did better today and got a Gold, the page will display just your Gold trophy).

Facebook Connect lets you see how your scores stack up against your friends’. Not only will you be able to see your friends’ high scores in each game (the leaderboard shows up right underneath the game play area), but you’ll also send notifications via Facebook to let them know you’ve trounced their scores (vice versa, too). You can either connect your existing Candystand account with your Facebook account OR simply sign up with your Facebook account.

Brand-new games launch almost every week. Games usually launch on Thursdays or Mondays, and we’ve been making an effort to post screenshots, videos and previews on our blog (as in, right here!) beforehand so you’ll have a sneak peek of what’s to come. New games are sometimes exclusives for Candystand (ones you’ll only be able to find on our site) and sometimes not (other flash game sites may also have them) — however, you’ll only be able to earn tickets and trophies when you play on Candystand!

We DO read your feedback! Whether it’s comments left on our blog, posts on our Facebook page, replies via Twitter or emails submitted through our Contact Us form, we read them all (even if we can’t respond to every one). We love hearing which games you like, what levels have you stumped and what you’d like to see us do!
